Transnational Organized Crime Discussion Question
Responses should be 300-600 words long. The sources below must be utilized to answer the questions. Ensure that you utilize Chicago style citations with the applicable page number(s). Lecture is attached for more background info. Must have a hyperlink attached so the professor can view the news article. News article must be from a reputable source and not a tabloid.
Question:
Write no more than two paragraphs that examine the operations in a foreign state/region of one of the TCOs covered this week. ie, the Russian Mafiya in Spain. Analyze how much it relies on violence or corruption in that state and explain why. You also may wish to look at the week of the syllabus on which the foreign state/region state is covered in case there is a reading of interest to your piece (ie. there is a recommended reading on Russian Mafiya in Spain in the week in which Western Europe is covered). Use the reading/s on that TCO to support your points. Also use an international news story on that TCO and its foreign operations to support your points. Please ensure you include the URL for the news story so it may be found by your peers and the professor.
