Steve Jobs had many traits that have helped him in making Apple as successful as it is. He exemplified many different dimensions of intellectual abilities, some more important than others. When Jobs returned to Apple after working on other projects, NeXT and Pixar, he found a company in trouble. Other companies like IBM and Microsoft were doing the same things Apple did, only cheaper and with faster processors. It was at this time Jobs met Ive, a designer for Apple, and saw the potential of his ideas. Together they made the iMac, which was a new way of manufacturing computers. Jobs ability to realize the potential of Ives ideas helped making Apple what it is today.
Jobs also held a deductive reasoning-ability. Although many would not say that he was using much logic when deciding on different things, he used his own sense of logic when he for instance was deciding on the first iPhone design. “He notoriously tore through three prototypes of the iPhone in 2007 before finally giving the okay”. His ability to know what we as consumers wanted and managing to make this products was what made Jobs the “genius” he was. Another example of his inductive and deductive reasoning one can see in the problems with MobileMe.
