Section 1.7.1 of the PMBOK® Guide identifies the following competencies: Knowledge – refers to what the project manager knows about the project; Performance – refers to what the project manaager is able to do or accomplish while applying his or her project management knowledge, and Personal – refers to how the project manager behaves when performing the project or related activity. Personal effectiveness encompasses attitudes, core personality characteristics and leadership, which provides the ability to guide the project team while achieving project objectives and balancing the project contraints.
Which of these competencies have you personally applied, and what was the outcome? Explain your response.
Please write about personal. I have applied it personally by initiating, planning and executing contracts. The outcome was a contract. To write contracts we as administrators have to meet with the team to discuss the scope of services, deliverables, contract start and end dates, method of payment and performance measures. After we meet with the team, we have to route the contract for review/approval, and send to the provider for signature/execution.
