Prisoners are considered to be inmates and kept by the government and hence they are provided with the health care facilities. As per the ABA – Criminal Justice laws, every patient is entitled for various medical treatments but those treatments are only standardize treatments and are not considered to be best in the medical industry. Usually the doctors are novice and no adequate or world class treatment is provided to them. They can also avail the facilities like mental treatment i.e. a doctor can see them if they are mentally ill inside the prison. Criminal justice of mental health standards and other legal conditions allow prisoners to enjoy these rights whereas the people who are normal citizens are not given such rights which at times is considered a little fair. Also because of the reason that citizens have a choice but prisoners do not have any way of visiting the doctor hence laws have been made such that can provide health and mental treatment to patients.
