This project was done in Hindustan Coca cola Pvt. Ltd. during my internship. Their current warehouse capacity was 6156 batches( a batch would approximately contain 1248 600ml bottles). During their seasonal sales period, their finished products inventory are more than their capacity. Therefore they cannot place every finished batch in the assigned racks as they would be full. Instead, they keep those batch in the open roads between the racks along which the forklift travel. The project was to find alternative locations in the warehouse to store the inventory and estimate the increase in capacity because of these. Then calculate the budget required to create racks in these alternative locations. The same work was to be done for store also.
