As your reading highlights, marriage equality was a major milestone in the quest for LGBTQ equality, but it did not end inequalities. For this week’s discussion, highlight one inequality from your own reading and research, the ebook, or one of the articles below, that is currently faced by the LGBTQ community in the US. We tend to focus on many of these inequalities from a personal issue perspective, so make sure to use your sociological imagination and focus on the social connections/social issues. You then, using your research, are to propose one or more solutions to the issue you have given. We also tend to focus on solutions having to do with personal perspective (personal acceptance, love, etc); again, ensure your solution(s) are from a social issues perspective – how can we, using social institutions and societal cultural means, work to solve the issue you have highlighted?
