criminal justice paper
A Critical Research Paper using American Psychological Association (APA) writing standards on a topic of choice. Papers MUST be 5-6 pages in length including the Title and Reference pages (MUST be no less than 5 and not more than 6 total pages). This is a free topic provided the topic relates to the course. NO ABSTRACT

Overview:
Choose a topic of your choice to research and learn more about. The topic must be relevant to the study of criminal justice and connected to the class through the use of the course textbook (e.g. topic in the textbook, using the textbook as a reference, etc.).
Academic Paper Guidelines:
The paper should be constructed with a well defined introduction (i.e. what the paper will cover, the thesis of the paper, etc.), well defined paragraphs that support and/connect to your thesis, and a strong conclusion. Consider quotes, attention-grabbing language, strong vocabulary, etc.
There is a rubric below to assist you with the writing of the paper.
Papers must be turned in by the due date. Late papers will receive one full grade deduction for every day late (e.g. one day late = one grade deduction, two days late = two grade deduction, etc). Note: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are not counted.
No papers are accepted beyond one week of the due date.
Papers must adhere to the page count. Papers less than 5 pages or more than 6 pages in total will receive NO CREDIT – An F. Total pages includes ALL pages (i.e. Title Page, Reference Page, Blank Page, etc.)
Note: Failure to submit a paper will significantly impact your final grade.
